This Morning
Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: September 10, 2026
Your routines belong to you. This Morning stores your morning data on your device, offers optional iCloud sync, and uses Apple and RevenueCat to manage purchases. The app collects usage and crash reports automatically. We do not record your sessions.
Who is responsible
This policy applies to the This Morning iOS app and this privacy page. The person responsible for the app and its handling of personal data is Anton Lev (“we”, “us”). For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@levs.dev.
You do not need to create a This Morning account. Your Apple Account is managed by Apple; we do not receive its password.
Your routines and app settings
The app stores task and routine text, completion history, streaks, achievements, onboarding choices and reminder preferences locally on your device. This information is used to provide the app features you choose. Device backups may include app data according to your Apple backup settings.
If you enable iCloud sync, the app sends supported morning records and synchronization metadata to your private CloudKit database associated with your Apple Account, so they can be synchronized between your devices. These records are not sent to PostHog or RevenueCat. We do not operate a separate server that stores your routine content. iCloud is provided by Apple under its own privacy terms.
Reminders are scheduled locally through iOS with your permission. You can change or disable them in the app or in iOS notification settings.
Purchases and subscriptions
Apple processes App Store payments. RevenueCat helps the app check access, restore purchases and manage subscription status. This involves an app-specific customer identifier, product and transaction information, purchase and expiration dates, entitlement status, and technical information needed to provide the service. RevenueCat may process service connection information such as an IP address.
The app uses a RevenueCat-generated identifier rather than sending your name or email as a customer identifier. Apple and RevenueCat purchase records are separate from PostHog analytics. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
Usage and crash reports
We use PostHog's EU service to understand onboarding and feature use, and Sentry's EU service to diagnose JavaScript errors and native iOS crashes. Reporting starts automatically; there is no reporting toggle in the app.
Reports can include:
- A randomly generated installation identifier, event timestamps and session identifiers. These identify an installation, not a verified individual.
- App version and build, iOS version, onboarding step and attempt identifiers, time spent on a step, and whether an operation succeeded.
- Subscription access status and purchase or restore outcomes, reminder permission outcomes, and events such as creating or completing a task.
- Sanitized crash and error information: operation names, technical error codes and stack locations used to diagnose problems.
We do not send task text, onboarding answers, private iCloud records, purchase receipts, arbitrary logs, or network content to PostHog or Sentry. We do not record screens or sessions. We do not connect the analytics identifier to your Apple Account, iCloud identity or RevenueCat customer identifier, and do not use analytics for cross-app advertising tracking.
Service providers necessarily receive connection information, including an IP address, when the app connects to them. PostHog geographic enrichment is disabled in our app configuration. Sentry may derive and retain an approximate city, region and country from the connection IP address to provide context for error reports; storage of the IP address itself is disabled in Sentry. This does not use GPS or request location permission.
Reinstalling the app may create a new identifier. Because reports are not linked to your name or email, we may be unable to locate a particular installation's reports from your email address alone.
Support messages
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use this information to respond and resolve your request. Please avoid sending sensitive task content or payment details unless necessary for your request.
Why we process data
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, providing the app, synchronization and purchase features you request is based on performing our agreement with you. Handling support, maintaining service security and resolving disputes may rely on legitimate interests, and some records may be needed to meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The app does not use your personal information to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Service providers and international processing
We use Apple for platform services, iCloud and payments; RevenueCat for purchase management; PostHog for product analytics; and Sentry for crash diagnostics. They process information relevant to their services. PostHog analytics and Sentry diagnostics use their EU services; other providers and their support or infrastructure may process information in other countries. Applicable transfer safeguards depend on the provider's terms and the law governing the processing.
This privacy page is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs visitor IP addresses for security purposes and may process other technical information needed to serve the page. We have added no advertising, analytics scripts, forms or cookies to this page.
Provider information: Apple Privacy, RevenueCat Privacy, PostHog Privacy, Sentry Privacy, and GitHub Privacy.
Retention and deletion
Morning data remains on your device and, if enabled, in iCloud until you delete it. In Settings, “Delete from iPhone & iCloud” deletes the app's morning data from both when the relevant iCloud account is available. “Delete from This iPhone Only” leaves the cloud copy in place; enabling sync again can restore it. These actions do not delete your Apple Account, cancel a subscription, or erase purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat.
Delivered diagnostics are retained according to the configured service retention and our need to investigate failures and understand app use. Support correspondence is retained as needed to handle the request and related disputes. Purchase records may remain necessary for entitlement restoration, accounting, fraud prevention or legal obligations. Retention is assessed by the purpose of the record, whether it is still needed, and applicable legal requirements; we do not promise that turning analytics off deletes previously delivered information.
You may contact us to request deletion of information we control. We will explain any limits, including information that cannot reasonably be associated with you, records another provider controls, and information we must retain by law.
Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, and complain to your local data-protection authority. Contact us to exercise these rights. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify and locate your request.
You control iCloud and notification permissions through the app and iOS settings. Manage or cancel App Store subscriptions in your Apple subscription settings. Deleting the app alone does not cancel a subscription.
Children and security
This Morning is not designed to collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and address it. Local age and parental-consent requirements may differ.
We use device storage protections and service-provider security measures appropriate to the features involved. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the app or its providers change. The date above identifies the latest version. Material changes to collection will be communicated through the app or another appropriate notice, with a new consent request where required.
